Inventory & listing desk
List cards from vendael: batches, expansion walk, whole sets, sealed, official price guide, reprice, one commit
The listing hub turns vendael into your inventory master: you list in vendael, vendael pushes to Cardmarket (and Shopify, if connected) and keeps the stock in sync in both directions. It is rolling out to selected sellers - ask support if you want in.
The listing desk
Inventory → Listing desk is where new stock enters. You never add cards one by one into the live inventory: you compose a batch, price it, check it, and commit it in one go. Batches are saved on the server as you type - close the tab, continue tomorrow, or on another device.
Three ways to add
| Mode | Use it for | How |
|---|---|---|
| Search | loose singles | type a name in English or your language, name 123 or a set code with number (DAA 136, MH3 45), or a Cardmarket product id - small typos are forgiven; the Singles / Sealed / All chips narrow the hits; Enter puts the first hit on the pad, a second Enter adds it |
| Expansion walk | a stack sorted by set | pick game and expansion, then walk the cards in rarity or number order on the pad: Enter adds and moves on, V / B or ← → step back and forth, jump to a number |
| Whole set | a complete or near-complete set | pick the expansion and enter how many copies of every card of each rarity you have - 4 of every common, 1 of every rare; skip cards already in your inventory or in the batch; one click adds them all |
Big spreadsheets still go through Import CSV.
The pad
Every card goes across the pad in the middle of the desk before it lands in the batch: the card, its guide price and your stock of it, and one key cap per attribute. Keys are physical positions, so they read the same on a QWERTZ keyboard:
| Keys | Do |
|---|---|
| Q W E R T Y U (or 1–7) | condition MT · NM · EX · GD · LP · PL · PO |
| A S D F G H J K L M N | language EN · ES · DE · FR · IT · RU · JA · KO · PT · ZH-T · ZH |
| I / O / P | foil / signed / altered (first edition and reverse holo by click) |
| + / −, Tab | quantity up / down, jump into the quantity field |
| X | take the guide price (an automatic price follows foil and condition until you type one) |
| Enter | add and go to the next card |
| C | add and keep the card on the pad (a second copy in another condition) |
| Esc | cancel |
| V / B or ← → | previous / next card in an expansion walk |
| Ctrl+Z | undo the last add |
Prefer speed over checking? Untick Review each card in search mode and Enter adds the first hit with the defaults straight away.
Defaults
Condition, language, quantity, location, tax tag and comment for every new row, plus the price mode:
- Guide × % - the guide price times a percentage (100 = the guide itself). Pick the guide value it starts from: trend, lowest price or 30-day average. Tick Follow and the committed rows keep following the guide every day (see Follow the guide).
- Guide + my price rules - your Cardmarket price rules applied to the guide value
- Fixed price - one price for everything you add
- Unpriced - set prices later in the table
Defaults stay set for your next session.
The batch table
Show the batch as a dense table or as card tiles with a size slider - the tiles show the card image with condition, language, foil, quantity and price right on the card. Every row is editable in place: condition, language, traits (foil, signed, altered, first edition, reverse holo), quantity, price, location, comment. Next to the price sits the guide value - click it to take it. Select rows to change many at once: condition, language, price (fixed, guide × %, rules), location, comment, move to another batch, remove.
Keys: ↑ ↓ move between rows, 1–7 condition, F foil, Del remove, Esc clear the selection, / jump to the search box.
Identical rows (same card, language, condition and traits) are marked - they merge into one listing on commit, exactly like Cardmarket merges identical articles.
Insight
Click a row and the right pane shows the card image, the official Cardmarket price guide (trend, foil trend, lowest, 7- and 30-day average, a 30-day trend line with the change over the last week), your stock of that card with its locations, and your last sales of it through vendael - the three numbers you need to price with confidence.
Commit
Commit turns the batch into inventory listings. Rows without a price are refused first - set them via guide, rules or a fixed price. Identical listings you already have receive the quantity instead of a duplicate. The new listings sync to Cardmarket and Shopify from there like any other edit.
Sealed products
Boosters, displays, Elite Trainer Boxes and other sealed products are listable too: switch the search to Sealed, or open an expansion in walk or whole-set mode - Sealed of this set lists them above the defaults. Sealed products have no condition or traits; the pad asks only for language, quantity and price.
Price guide
vendael uses the official Cardmarket price guide for every game and every product, singles and sealed: trend, lowest price, average, 1-, 7- and 30-day average, each for normal and foil. Cardmarket publishes it once a day; vendael imports it every morning, so the guide on the desk is never older than a day.
Reprice to guide
In the inventory, select listings (or all matching a filter) and choose Reprice to guide:
| Setting | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Guide value | trend, lowest or 30-day average (foil listings use the foil value) |
| % | percent of that value - 95 = 5% under the guide |
| Floor | never below this price |
| Direction | raise and lower, only raise, or only lower |
Preview shows how many listings change and by how much your stock value moves before anything is written. Apply updates the prices; Cardmarket and Shopify receive only the prices that actually changed.
Follow the guide
Tick Keep following daily (or Follow on the desk) and those listings move with the guide after every daily price file - both directions, never below the floor, only when the cents change. The inventory marks them with ↻ and the field they follow. Editing such a price by hand makes it fixed again.
Card images
Listings use vendael's own copy of each card image, stored on its CDN - never a link to someone else's server. The images come from the card databases that publish them for developers:
| Game | Source |
|---|---|
| Magic | Scryfall |
| Pokémon | TCGdex |
| Yu-Gi-Oh! | YGOPRODeck |
vendael downloads each image once, slowly (one image at a time with pauses in between, a daily limit, an automatic break when a source is busy). Cards you have on the desk or in your inventory come first. A card shows "image on its way" while its copy is being made. Sealed products and games without a source have no image yet. Cardmarket does not offer its product images for download.
Storage location
Each listing can carry a private location (box, binder, shelf). It stays in vendael, is never sent to Cardmarket or Shopify, and shows up in the insight pane and the CSV export so picking orders stays fast.
