Getting started
From signup to your first synced order in about five minutes
1. Create your account
Sign up at app.vendael.com/signup with your e-mail address - a verification code is sent to you. During signup you provide your business address; it is also used as the sender address on letter stamps and as your billing address.
2. Set up billing
vendael has no base fee - you pay per processed order (see Billing). Payment setup (credit card or SEPA direct debit via Stripe) is required before orders can be imported. Nothing is charged at setup; the subscription itself is € 0/month.
3. Connect Cardmarket
Go to Cardmarket in the top navigation:
- Choose which order states to import (paid, sent, arrived …) and optionally a date to import from - orders bought before that date are ignored.
- Click connect - you are sent to cardmarket.com to authorize vendael. Your Cardmarket password never touches vendael; Cardmarket hands us a token that is valid for one year.
- After the redirect back, the first import starts automatically.
The first import mirrors your existing orders (this can take a few minutes for large histories). Afterwards vendael polls for new orders and state changes every few minutes - paid orders are picked up fastest.
4. Add integrations
Open Integrations and connect the tools you use. Each connector has its own page in this documentation with exact setup steps. You choose per connector when it fires - for example "create the invoice when the order is paid" and "prepare shipping when the order is paid".
5. Check your tax rules
If you use an invoicing connector, review Tax rules first - vendael computes the VAT for every invoice line from the order's shipping address and your chosen mode (OSS, fixed or custom).
That's it. New orders now flow to your tools automatically. The dashboard shows the sync heartbeat and a "Sync now" button when you don't want to wait for the next polling cycle.
