Cardmarket connection
How the Cardmarket link works: authorization, sync cadence, reconnecting
Authorization
vendael uses Cardmarket's official third-party authorization. You approve the connection on cardmarket.com; vendael receives an access token and never sees your password. Tokens are valid for one year - vendael reminds you by e-mail before expiry, and the dashboard shows a reconnect banner when the authorization has expired or was revoked.
While the connection is expired, all syncing pauses. Nothing is lost - reconnecting resumes exactly where it stopped.
What is imported
You choose the order states to sync (paid, sent, arrived …) and optionally an import-from date. Orders bought before that date are never imported; the date does not affect orders that are already in vendael - those keep receiving state updates regardless.
vendael stores a mirror of each order (buyer, address, items, prices, state) to drive your integrations. Your order history remains in Cardmarket and in the tools the orders are exported to.
Sync cadence
Cardmarket has no push notifications, so vendael polls - politely, to protect the shared API budget:
| Order state | Checked every |
|---|---|
| paid | ~10 minutes |
| bought, sent | ~30 minutes |
| arrived | ~60 minutes |
"Sync now" on the dashboard triggers an immediate check of all your selected states.
Reconnecting
Cardmarket → connect again. Re-authorizing replaces the token; your orders, integrations and settings are untouched, and integrations never re-export orders they already delivered.
